What Is Cape Town Foodie Tasting Tour

Cape Town Foodie Tours offers intimate culinary walking tours through Cape Town city centre strolling through many of the culturally important, trendy, hippest and historical parts of the city. Guests are treated to six to nine different stops along the way all showcasing signature dishes and tastes of Cape Town and South Africa.

As we eat and drink our way though some of Cape Town’s most iconic neighbourhoods you will learn from our Foodie Guide about Cape Town’s  history, architecture, local scene and unique culture.


Cape Town Tasting Tour

The tour is about more than just food, this is a culinary experience. Explore with our food tour the culturally important to the trendy neighbourhoods of Cape Town and bring your appetite.

The tour is a walking tour which will take around 4 hours stopping at between six to nine different eateries along the way. At the eateries you will experience a wide variety of what Cape Town food has to offer from the culturally important, new and trendy to the African tastes. Our experienced tour guide along the walk will also share with you the history of Cape Town, show you important land marks, point out interesting facts about the city and make you feel right at home.

By the end of the tour you will have covered most of the city centre, be well acquainted with the local food and neighbourhoods and leave with a full tummy.

The tour is perfect for food lovers, visitors to the city and locals who want to learn more about Cape Town food and the city’s history.

Over the approximate 4 hours you will walk around 4kms (2.4miles). At most of the locations there is seating and restrooms.

What do I need to bring?

Yourself and an appetite! Comfortable walking shoes and you may want to bring a bag for additional goodies you buy along the way.

Are tickets refundable if I cancel?

All tickets are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. Tickets can be transferred to another guest.
